Thursday-Sunday, January 11-14, 2018 in Aravaipa, AZ
As we move into a new year, we can take some time to set our intentions while elucidating our motivation for practice. While the term mindfulness has become mainstream, much of the deeper transformative power of mindfulness practice has been ignored. In this three-night retreat, we will investigate, discuss and practice the full mindfulness training of the Buddha as not just a technique but a way of life; a way of relating to experience from a place of freedom, peace, and joy.
The retreat will include a variety of asana practices including, vinyasa, yin and restorative; pranayama; meditation; chanting; periods of noble silence; dharma talks and discussion. There will be free time each day to hike, journal, rest and reflect. All are welcome to attend, though some experience is recommended.
Each instructor will provide a unique perspective into practice. Frank Jude Boccio, Laurent Baig and Ashley Celeste Leal will share their diverse experience with the common thread of dedicated practice and continued inquiry.
The retreat will begin with dinner at 5 pm on Thursday. Retreatants may arrive between 2 and 4 pm. We will conclude by noon on Sunday.
