June 2013 Newsletter

June marks the start of summer and the heat is on! But the nights are still gorgeous and so are the good times at Tucson Yoga. For the month of June we have Blue Spirit Wheel, a kirtan/chant group from Atlanta, treating us for a night of kirtan June 7. We're bringing back another evening of Lounging Lizards Restorative June 14 with Joanna. Laura Brown is doing another installment of Advancing Your Practice. And, Gabrielle is leading a Summer Soulstice Celebration. Don't forget it is still not too late to sign up for the Street Yoga Teacher Training!

Cinema Nirvana returns for a blockbusting summer of entertainment and dharma Saturday, June 22nd with the contemporary classic mafia crime film, The Godfather.  Based upon the novel of the same name by Mario Puzo, and directed by Francis Ford Coppola, it is hard to over-estimate the influence of this sweeping narrative. It is universally regarded as one of the greatest films in world cinema, rated number two (behind Citizen Kane) by the AFI (American Film Institute).

We at Tucson Yoga are pleased to be able to present to you "Live Music Live Yoga" where we showcase musicians playing to your vibe of practice as your groove to theirs. Live Music Live Yoga is a Friday night exclusive where Alyssa Kratz' class blooms into an evening of live music and your practice. Class cost is still the same $6 drop-in or class pass. Please do consider a $5 donation for your live musician's time!

Friday May 31, ST Frequency is in the house!

Saturday, March 23rd at 7:30pm, Cinema Nirvana presents Monty Python’s Life of Brian, also known simply as The Life of Brian, which after 33 years, is still one of the funniest movies ever made, according to many.
