Join Poep Sa Frank Jude for this four-class course designed to ground you in a firm understanding and practice of mindfulness, with an emphasis on cultivating mindfulness in the midst of our full and busy lives. Through the meditative techniques of “shamatha-vipassana,” (calming and insight) you will learn how to explore the ways you currently relate to your own experience, and learn to step back from conditioned reactivity and into a creative and free response to lived experience. In this form of meditation practice, we develop concentration, awareness, and compassion in order to open, and remain awake, to all that we encounter in our daily lives. This is meditation as the true fruit of Yoga – meditation as a way of life, recapturing and integrating all the facets of our lives so that we can delight in the joy, peace and equanimity that arise from understanding the truth of who we really are.
Suitable for beginners, including those with no previous experience, as well as those who wish to sharpen their meditative skills.
