Media Outreach Assistant

We are seeking a tech-savvy, detail-oriented person to manage our workshop and event outreach. This position includes flyer design, website event management, miscellaneous design needs, social media and email marketing. Initial commitment of approximately 2 hours per month is anticipated to increase threefold over the next several months as we complete a new website and email marketing template.
This position requries a special blend of creative design skills and technical expertise. Candidate should move fluidly through online programs and applications to pull together a clean and concise presentation of copy, images, and links. Candidate should have experience and ease with media outreach, graphic design software, and writing/editing copy.
The monthly email newsletter requires coordination with the Director and Business Manager about upcoming events and relevant announcements.
The graphic design component includes creating flyers for Tucson Yoga's workshops and special events, in addition to updating the class schedule on a monthly basis. Also involves occasional miscellaneous design work. Can expect to design flyers for one to four events per month, usually one full page version and one 4up-version for each event, with expected turnaround of two business days.
Required Skills:
Experience designing email newsletters
Graphic Design experience, preferably using Adobe Creative Suite
Impeccable text editing and a keen eye for appropriate text layout and font usage
Experience editing copy and creating concise descriptive wording
Ability to work with deadlines
Compensation: $150-$200/month plus complimentary Tucson Yoga Membership
